A bedroom is a small space. Installing a desk into such a intimate location is not only a design challenge, but also an important question in terms of life quality and work life balance.
After the pandemic people realized that they can be very productive at home because they feel they live in their home, their life epicenter, which gives them countless energy and inspiration.
This desk proposal tends to underline these principles: finding a clear spot in an under the roof bedroom in order to extract the inner deepest creative soul for a young lady director in an international event manager. Reconstructing her mental world and building a comfort zone with the thickest distance with exterior stimulus is facilitated by a multiple floor curved wrapping desk. The multi dimensions and surrounding aspect of these large radii curves is tailored for better immersion within that personal and intimate mental world.
A bedroom is a small and intimate space.
Design isn't about size, but density.
The curve as a design mean enables wrapping, change in space and location. If accurate and fine tuned, the curves are the reflection of the deepest intimacy.
A layered cocoon is designed to wrap the creative & hyperactive mind.
Lights are under the plans so they don't get within the eyes.
Work and leisure life balance, the most important thing. Everybody has a different equilibrium.
Recreating the inner soul as a day to day landscape. Facilitating focus time, but enabling creative and regenerating distractive time.
Four plans (three at the end), each one its use. Work, decoration, time, all of these combined in a tiny space.
Advanced technology such as pointcloud have been deployed in order to fit the digitally cut planes.
